Concert Overview

Wanna know how the Blink-182 show went for me?
1)The All-American Rejects:
I was actually REALLY underwhelmed with these guys.
(Mind you,I missed the first two songs "Real World" and "Dirty Little Secret" because I was buying the hoodie that I have attached pictures of)
They set was actually pretty boring, but they did include the song Swing,Swing,which kind of made up for it. (I can't remember the order,thats how badly they chose the songs)
Between songs Tyson would do nothing but insert swear words between every -swearword- other -swearword- word.
I was looking forward to more,however I guess its to be expected when you are just an opening act but they still felt like they lacked energy
(Nick was dressed quite sharply and also very Panic!at the disco-like, white dress shirt with a black vest overtop and dress pants. He was beautiful)

2)Fall Out Boy
After being upset over AAR,I was worried Fall Out Boy would also under perform.
No! They did not! They came out and opened with Sugar,We're Going Down. It was bouncy and fun just like you would expect from FOB.
Patrick and Pete spoke before they played "Thriller" from Infinity on High. The mosh pit looked scary and I was very glad I wasn't in it.
The only thing that irked me was that they only played THREE songs from Folie a Deux, which were I don't Care,America's Sweethearts and 27.
They played a lot of the older stuff (Dance,Dance, Arms Race, Saturday,Grand theft Autumn,Thnks fr the Mmrs) and that was the entire set.
They had a beautiful background image though,I wish I could describe it(It was a no cameras show!)
They didn't swear at all and I could have asked from anything more from them!

3)Blink-182
Ah yes,the title act. After making us wait 45 minutes after FOB they came out.
I'm not a big Blink-182 fan (I'll be honest..I was really there for FOB). But they opened with a song I knew,Feeling this.
Followed by a new song, Followed by Whats my age again? and I miss you. Unfortunately had to leave after I miss you because some mystery things were being consumed around me and giving me a headache.
It seemed like they were going to rock though.

Overall,it was a good show.

Broadway Across Canada Presents:THE LION KING

So two nights ago I saw Broadway Across Canada's presentation of Disney's The Lion King at the Northern Jubliee Auditorium here in Edmonton.
What do I have to say about it?
WOW.
As soon as the lights went out and "The Circle of Life" came up I nearly burst into tears because I was so happy to finally be able to see this.
I nearly cried with joy through out the whole show but I didn't cause that would have been super silly of me.
But that isn't the point!
It was a fantastic show-the actors were amazing and the sets and the costumes were breathtaking!
I was really stunned to see all the dance choreography, it just fit in with the show and brought it to life even more.
So,I guess my point being that if you get a chance to see ANY production of Disney's The Lion King..
GO SEE IT!
I would see it again a million more times if I had the money (:

Three days-Last day of Summer School
Four days-Cat Show at Shaw/The Lion King at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium.
Five days-The Futuremen LIVE! at Taste of Edmonton Wine Tent.
Ten days- Blink-182 with Fall Out Boy and All American Rejects at Rexall Place.
Eleven Days-My best friend comes to visit!

ARG.
So I'm totally in love with the Higurashi Line (that is what I am going to call it) Everytime I watch it I get chills,I sing along to the openings and endings (but not why, or why not? because I lothe that song).

So I'm having way to much making icons D: Mostly the sailor moon ones because I love love love love sailor moon so much D:
I haven't mentioned this- but I'm doing artwork for a local band here in Edmonton called "The Futuremen" I dont usually go to the rehersals but today I did and it was actually very fantastic an I am very excited to be apart of the process.
Off to make more icons! D:

I'm hoping to participate in Pokeology as Hanyuu from Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni,so I'll probably post those posts here too. (:
